FAQs About Our Discovery Sessions

In most scenarios, our calls are run with the business owner. Please ensure that all stakeholders, partners or decision makers are available to chat with us.

We’ll have a structure for the session and a list of questions to help us get to know you & your business. Just have a think about what your goals are and what you’d like to achieve in the next 12 months.

The discovery sessions run for about an hour and involve a few of our team, so you can meet us and ask any questions relating to your website, marketing, SEO etc.

We also value yours & our time, so we limit these sessions to those who are serious about working with us and have the budget to do so.

While we may finish earlier, please allow up to an hour for the discovery session. This allows us the time to really understand your business alongside your goals and wishes for your website, marketing or digital space and how we can help.

FAQ – Websites & Care Plans

The first step is to test your site. This provides us both with a report about your current site and what might need improving on.

From there, you’ll get an invite to book a discovery session with our team via zoom. We dig quite deep in these sessions to find out what you want, what your goals are and how exactly we can help you achieve them. If you don’t have a website yet or already know it desperately needs work, feel free to jump straight into a discovery session here.

For a service orientated website (like a health clinic) we generally allow between 8 & 12 weeks, depending on the scope of the project. Our deadlines work both ways and we do require clients to be timely in providing content and images, to enable us to stick to this timeframe.

We like to think of your website like a car (think Mercedes Benz) and we are the qualified mechanic who takes care of your pride and joy. Now, like any car if it’s not serviced properly it’s only a matter of time before it breaks down and will end up being a costly exercise to bring back to life.

We have seen first hand the effects on business when a website is down for even half a day. That’s why we insist on a care plan, we want to see your website running at 100% all of the time.

Care plans include all of the monthly software maintenance and updates, but the big difference is that you’ll get your own communication channel via Slack where you will have access to our team for support, questions & website updates.

Our standard website projects start from around $4000. However everyone’s needs are different, which is why we’ll host a discovery session with you before offering you a quote.

Yes! In fact, we prefer to host your site when you build with us. We offer fast & reliable hosting as part of our website care plans, which also enables us to ensure your website performs well.

Yes! A lot of SEO practises such as security, fast load times, good user experience and local schema markup are included when we set up your website. These technical SEO factors can often be neglected on websites, however they are serious Google ranking factors. With the majority of our website builds, SEO rankings will naturally improve as your website will be set up according to how Google favours sites.

Having an ongoing organic SEO strategy is a whole other (long term) ball game. We generally take 3-6 months to assess how a new website is performing in search results before recommending other SEO services.

FAQ – Google Ads & PPC

Due to the variables of every business (locations, services, team size, budget etc) our Google Ads management cost is determined after an initial chat with our Ads experts.

That being said, statistics show that the average Google Ad returns $2 for every $1 spent. So you’ll quickly make back your investment, and then some. It’s a no-brainer!

Google Ads are highly strategic and targeted to reach your ideal client. They are measurable and the ROI (return on investment) makes their investment a no-brainer!

It also depends on what your goals are: If you need to convert clients and fill books fast, we generally recommend a Google Ads strategy. Ads can also push clients to that new team member whose books are empty, they can target a particular service or offering that you want to push, and can also target a particular geographic area that you won’t be able to rank organically in.

Organic SEO & Ads strategies do work hand-in-hand, which is why we recommend working on both.

One of our values at NCC is transparency. As part of your Ads management, you have access to a live reporting dashboard where you can see the good, bad & ugly (but mostly good)! The dashboard shows you details like how many clients have converted, how much you have spent and how much you have made from your ads in return.

We do come across the rare case where ads strategies don’t have the same level of success as others. In these cases, we’re honest & upfront with you. Our team will strategise to offer you other solutions. At the end of the day, we want your business to win too!

Although Google Ads is one of the fastest online marketing platforms to get results on, there is still a ‘learning’ period in which the Google algorithm indexes your ads. Google states that this learning period is approximately 7 days. After the 7 days we will optimise the copy, keywords and targeting of the ad.

The process of launching, optimising, and waiting on Google to learn the ads generally takes up to 1 month, after which you will begin to see more accurate results. However, the longer you optimise your ads the better your campaigns will be, so we suggest that the most accurate results are seen after 3 – 6 months.

Your Ad spend is up to you, but we can make recommendations based off your business and our expertise. For example, for a one-location business with three service campaigns, we’d suggest $1,000 per month.

The best way to calculate your ad spend is to determine your average customer lifetime value. Then consider what acquisition cost you would pay for a client, as a percentage of that value. Then determine how many new customers you could handle in a month. Times the acquisition fee by the desired customers and that’s your monthly ad spend!

Maybe… But we know for sure that your time can be better used elsewhere. On average, a good Google Ads account needs about 2 – 3 hours of managing per week. And that’s if Google hasn’t changed their algorithm and you have to optimise accordingly. That’s time that can be used to nurture new clients, train team members, launch a new business, hang out with your kids… you get the point.

In our experience, doing ads yourself is not worth it. The majority of accounts that come our way have been under-optimised, full of ‘fake conversions’ and use keywords that are wasting your money. It’s mind boggling!

While you aren’t locked in to a contract, we do recommend sticking to Google Ads for at least 3 – 6 months. This is so that there is adequate time to properly optimise your ads and keywords, and drill down on your targeting. We have found that only after 3 – 6 months can you begin to see proper consistent growth of leads who will usually become lifetime clients.

What we guarantee is a Google Ads account that is highly optimised to convert clients. However, the results will vary depending on your ad spend, spend distribution, your services, reputation, demographic, population, expectation etc.

If you’re a one-location clinic in a small town you cannot expect the same results as a multi-location clinic in a large city. We aim to bring in new clients on a consistent basis that your business can sustain.
