About Maitland Christian School

Maitland Christian School is a Prep to Year 12 private school providing Christian education for students, with the purpose of growing their faith, character and abilities. Maitland Christian School draws out the individual students’ strengths that make each student unique. Whether it be in the classroom, sporting field or creative performance, our students excel.

The school was established in 1983 by Metford Community Baptist Church and has grown to be a vibrant community of students.

The Collaboration & Results

We were super excited at the prospect of doing Maitland Christian School’s new website for a number of reasons. We hadn’t done a school site before, so this was going to a fun new challenge with different call to actions, goals and requirements. So when James Thompson (aka. JT) approached us and invited us out to the school to meet the team and go over the scope of project, we jumped at it.

Once we got through the sitemap phase and started building out the framework, the process was super straight forward. JT was a legend to work with through the whole project. Supplying copy & images quickly really helped things track well.

In terms of CTA this project was slightly different; they wanted two: ‘Book a Tour’ and ‘Apply Online’. The Book a Tour would be handled by an embedded Calendly booking software and the Application process would continue to be handled via the third party software Digistorm.

Outside of the CTA’s, MCS wanted a strong emphasis on the amazing facilities the school has to offer. So we really focused in on creating seperate landing pages for each department of the school.

The other request that came in was to have the ability to add news & events that are happening within the school to be promoted and put up easily on the website. This was done through a blog with custom categories.

For MCS, this was a total re-invention really. They got all new images done, videos shot with the intent of pushing awareness, acquiring leads and getting conversions from the new website. So there was a ‘heavy lift’ so-to-speak to get things off the ground. The school had very specific targets in mind of what they wanted to achieve, and within a few weeks JT reported back saying that the site was doing exactly what it was meant to. Including booking potential new parents in to take a tour of the school. This ultimately lead to more enrolments and the opportunity for them to expand on their services and offering too!

We couldn’t be more chuffed with the results and it’s been a pleasure working with MCS and taking care of their website on our on-going care plan too.
